Christopher M. Ott, Sr. is in Hospitality Management and is part of the Hotel Operations for HTL Management. Mr. Ott has extensive work experience in both full and limited service hotels and at all levels of management, giving him the skill set required to effectively understand hotel investment and operations for each segment of the industry. Mr. Ott as either a Regional Operations Director or General Manager has gained extensive experience working with many of the major industry franchise brands such as: Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Marriott, Hampton, Days Inn and Radisson. He has also managed or supervised several upscale, boutique hotel properties.
He has directly supervised numerous large hotel renovation projects and coordinated several franchise conversions with a variety of major brands. Mr. Ott’s past senior management positions with Lane Hospitality, Outrigger Lodging Services and Helmsley Hotels has helped shape his industry knowledge that encompasses management, acquisition, conversions and repositioning of hotels in a wide variety of markets.
As a prior hotel owner and asset manager, he has also been responsible for the analysis and negotiation of several hotel real estate transactions, loan placements and partnership agreements.
Mr. Ott received his Certification in Real Estate, Development and Hotel Investment EPA ISO 14001, Advanced Hotel Investment Asset Management, Computerized Hotel Valuations FF&E Refurbishment for Hotels and Restaurants from Cornell University. He is certified by Hilton Hotels Corporation to manage Hampton Inns, Hilton Garden Inns, Doubletree Hotels and Embassy Suites.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University. He has completed advanced studies at the Hilton Hotel School at the University of Houston where he participated in the RINA post graduate program. He is an active member in the hotel industry and participates annually in industry conferences such as the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), NYU Hotel Investment Conference and The Lodging Conference.
